Findings from the Social Service Sector Survey on VolunteerManagement (VM) conducted by the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) in 2022revealed that social service agencies (SSAs) with VM practices were twice as likely to retainenough high-quality volunteers to meet organisational needs as compared to those without.NCSS, together with the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), organised theinaugural Singapore VM Conference today, to showcase trends and best practices in VM.

Three Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) to bolster service, data, and process transformation in the non-profit sector were signed today, between the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) and the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), and Singapore Polytechnic (SP) respectively. The MOU signing ceremony was witnessed by Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary (SPS) in the Ministry of Social and Family Development, and Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, at the inaugural Transformation Showcase for Non-Profits (TSNP) organised by NCSS.

MSF Appoints New Board Members for the National Council of Social Service

The Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) announced today key appointment holders to the Board of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), and the re-appointment of the Board President. In addition to the appointments made by Minister for Social and Family Development and Second Minister for Health, Mr Masagos Zulkifli, other Board members were elected at NCSS’ Annual General Meeting held on 13 July 2022 or appointed by the Board President, all of whom will serve a two-year term from 1 August 2022 to 31 July 2024.
