Counselling Psychology
As a Counselling Psychologist, you help people improve their sense of well-being by alleviating their distress. With your help, they improve their ability to solve problems and make decisions independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess clients' needs, abilities or behaviour using a variety of methods, such as psychometric tests, interviews and direct observation of behaviour.
- Develop appropriate treatment programmes, such as therapy, counselling or advice for clients.
- Develop and execute group psycho-educational and psychotherapy programmes.
- Provide consultation and advice to clients, their families and staff.
