Social Work

As a Social Work professional, you apply your skills in community development and intervention to uplift the lives of individuals in need. Your work centres around programmes that are empowering and rehabilitative. Along with your team, you strive to bridge social gaps, fostering a community in which everyone has an equal chance to succeed in life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage and assess service users to understand their needs and level of functioning.
  • Work with them to set goals and develop case plans to address concerns.
  • Implement, review and modify case plans.
  • Facilitate access to resources.
  • Maintain and submit social reports.
  • Reach out to individuals or targeted groups who may benefit from programmes.

Social Worker• Bachelor in Social Work 

• Be a registered social worker with the Singapore Work Accreditation and Advisory Board
• NUS’s Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Social Work

• SUSS’s Bachelor of Social Work

• NUS’s Graduate Diploma in Social Work

• SUSS’s Graduate Diploma in Social Work

• Degree from an accredited foreign university
