The Sectoral Job Secondment (SJS) is a programme to help social service professionals (SSPs) develop their career and gain critical experience and competencies through secondment to agencies within the social service sector.
The Secondment period is up to two years in the first instance. Employers have the discretion to provide an extension of up to two years. A two-year secondment will enrich the learning and development experience of the SSPs.

How Do I Apply for the Sectoral Job Secondment?
1 | View the available secondment opportunities below. |
2 | Have a discussion with your Reporting Officer and HR once you have identified the positions you are interested to explore for secondment. |
3 | Your HR team will convey your interest to the HR team in the borrowing agency. You may be asked to attend an interview with the borrowing agency. |
4 | If you are shortlisted, your agency HR team will work with the borrowing agency on the secondment terms, remuneration package and commencement date. |
5 | You will review the secondment terms, remuneration package and commencement date, prior signing the acceptance letter. |
