Sustained partnerships for lasting impact
27 December 2024
With the growth of corporate volunteerism in sustainable philanthropy, SSAs can tap into resources through scalable volunteering opportunities.
As corporate volunteerism grows as a key part of sustainable philanthropy, it is important for social service agencies (SSAs) to tap on this valuable manpower resource. With the launch of the Sustainable Philanthropy Framework and expansion of Project V, more corporate volunteers are seeking regular and scalable volunteering opportunities.
More volunteers, more lives touched
Through Project V, Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) Services partnered Filos Community Services to guide senior service users in digital literacy as part of the company’s “Lunch and Learn Programme.” From this, the seniors had the opportunity to attend an interactive session and have meals together with volunteers at the C&W Services office.

Through the partnership, 160 volunteers contributed 586 volunteer hours. With increased awareness of social causes, C&W Services’ employees have since embarked on a journey of giving back. The company is now exploring partnerships with two other community partners through Project V.
Corporate volunteerism: A path to sustainable philanthropy

As Grace Chin, Workplace Experience Manager, C&W Services Singapore puts it, “Participating in both planning and volunteering has provided us the opportunity to explore different volunteer programmes, helping us better understand community needs and identify the most suitable volunteer opportunities for our colleagues. It is highly encouraging to see the seeds of our initiative take root and flourish into something so much bigger.”
