SG60: Rallying a nation of givers
12 March 2025
National regular giving programme SGSHARE and SG Gives Matching Grant announced to strengthen support for social service.
Singaporeans and residents are encouraged to contribute through Community Chest’s refreshed SGSHARE programme, launched at Community Chest Fu Dai on Jan 18.
Under the previous SHARE programme, donations were facilitated primarily through employers. In SG60, all Singaporeans and residents can contribute to the nation by giving a once-off donation or pledging a donation every month at www.giving.sg/SG60SHARE!

Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong launched SGSHARE at the Community Chest Fú Dài 2025.

At Community Chest Fu Dai, more than 1,300 volunteers packed and distributed over 9,000 festive bags
Increased support for social causes and fundraising efforts
To encourage philanthropy, a $250 million SG Gives matching grant was announced during Budget 2025. With this, donations to Community Chest, President’s Challenge and the Collective for a Stronger Society in the SG60 year will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Government.
Additionally, to encourage sustained giving, the Government will provide a matching of $1.50 for every dollar when donors commit to $250,000 or more annually over three years.
There is also matching support for social service agencies (SSAs) who are doing their own fundraising activities, through the $270 million top-up to the Tote Board Enhanced Fund-Raising (TB-EFR) Programme. SSAs can also continue to tap on existing funding, such as President’s Challenge and the 4ST Partnership Fund to run programmes, and the Transformation Sustainability Scheme to build capability in the areas of people practice, volunteer management and project implementation support.
