Overview
The Social Service Tribe Study Award is offered by partnering social service agencies and provides students from qualifying courses of study with the opportunity to pursue a meaningful career in the social service sector. Upon completion of studies, awardees will be emplaced with the social service agency that sponsors them.
Qualifying courses of study
Eligibility criteria
Full term
Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents intending to take up citizenship
Full-time undergraduate or postgraduate students at a local institution recognised by professional associations
Currently not a full-time employee of any organisation
Currently not receiving any scholarships or sponsorships
Willing to serve a bond period upon graduation
Mid term
In addition to fulfilling the full-term study award eligibility criteria, you should also meet the following requirements:
Apply by the first semester of their final academic year

How to apply
The application period for the Social Service Tribe Study Awards runs from 1 August to 31 August each year. Interested candidates should apply directly with the partnering social service agencies of their choice.

The Social Service Tribe Study Award program empowers social service agencies to cultivate a robust talent pipeline. Supported by NCSS funding, partner agencies can provide study awards to dedicated full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students passionate about advancing their careers in social service. Awardees are also to commit to serving their sponsoring agency upon graduation, ensuring a continuous flow of talent and commitment to the sector.
