As part of the Sustainable Philanthropy Framework launch, NCSS rolled out an Early Adopters Programme (EAP) to support businesses in adopting the Framework. Along with the programme partners (raiSE and NVPC), this programme provided opportunity to be plugged into a community of like-minded businesses to strengthen collaboration, as well as to enable enhanced and meaningful reporting on community efforts and impact in existing company reports (e.g., Annual Report, Sustainability Report, Impact Report).
The early adopters play an important role to shape the philanthropic scene and inspire others to collectively work towards sustainably resourcing the social service sector to meet both current and future needs of Singaporeans.
The framework was developed in partnership with the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC), Singapore Centre for Social Enterprise (raiSE), Ministry of Social and Family Development and the SG Cares Office. A workgroup was formed to implement strategies to engage and guide businesses and philanthropic organisations in Singapore to understand, articulate, and measure their contributions to social goals.
