Overview

The Advanced Leadership programme is designed to broaden the perspectives and enhance the leadership competencies of Heads of Agencies and Senior Leaders through executive development programmes.

Agencies have the flexibility to propose various executive development programmes leading to certification. These programmes may include but are not limited to:

  • Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management by Harvard University

  • Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership by Duke University (USA)

  • INSEAD Social Entrepreneurship (ISEP)

  • Developing Leaders Programme for Nonprofit Professionals by Columbia University (USA)

  • Executive Programme for Nonprofit Leaders by Stanford University

All approved training courses must be completed within 1 year.

Key Performance Indicators

Nominated staff must fulfil their bond with the nominating employer and apply their learning to benefit the social service sector.

Eligibility & criteria

To be eligible for this programme, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Position: You must be the Head of Agencies (e.g., CEO, ED) or a senior leader (e.g., Deputy CEO, Senior Director).

  • Experience: You should have a minimum of 10 years of sector experience.

  • Citizenship: You must be a Singapore citizen or Permanent Resident.

  • Professional qualifications: You should be registered with the relevant professional bodies and/or possess the necessary professional qualifications.

  • Bonds: You must not be serving any current bond.

  • Employment: You should currently be working in an NCSS member agency.

  • Nomination: Participation in the Advanced Leadership programme is strictly by nomination by the social service agency’s Board (for Head of Agencies) or employers (for Senior Leaders).

Funding quantum

Course fees are subsidised up to $25,000.

Submission timeline: This programme is open for application in January.
