Key responsibilities
Youth Worker
A Youth Worker performs outreach programmes and interventions.This includes:
Facilitating intervention work for youths identified to be at-risk.
Building trust and instill positive values among youths.
Engaging, mentoring and counselling alienated and at-risk youths who reject formal activities so as to build rapport for future intervention.
Developing and maintaining a trusting relationship with youths.
Youth Work Associate
A Youth Work Associate supports the facilitation and assessment of casework, group work, and outreach and community development programmes. This includes:
Performing programmes and interventions.
Supporting outreach activities in schools, on the streets and online.
Supporting the implementation of activities that grow the youth development professional practice.
Youth Work Assistant
A Youth Work Assistant supports the identification of risk and protective factors associated with social problems specific to youths. This includes:
Identifyinh typical youth issues and concerns in the current socio-economic environment.
Describinh the high-level contents of relevant policies and schemes that impact youths.
