The social service sector in Singapore comprises a network of organisations and initiatives dedicated to providing social support, welfare and assistance to individuals and communities in need.
In our sector, there are currently more than 20,000 social service professionals working together to serve five key areas: Disabilities and Special Needs, Children & Youth, Mental Health, Seniors, and Families.
The sector requires a diverse range of professionals and experts to work together in a multidisciplinary team approach to tackle complex social challenges. This includes social workers, counsellors, psychologists, and therapists among others.

Sector skills and salary guidelines
Interested to understand how salaries are structured across the sector? Refer to our guidelines to get a market pay reference for job roles within the sector. These references are regularly reviewed, with annual adjustments made as necessary in order to align with general wage movements. These guidelines may not be directly comparable to those of previous years due to changes in the mapping of job roles.
