Ms Tan Li San
Chief Executive Officer
Ms Tan Li San joined NCSS in January 2020, and was appointed Chief Executive Officer starting from 1 June 2020. Her extensive public service career spans multiple ministries, including the Ministry of Communications and Information, the Ministry of Manpower, the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, the Ministry of Finance, the Public Service Division, and the Civil Service College.
Her involvement in the social service sector began as a youth volunteer in the 1990s, and she later contributed as a board member of Beyond Social Services and the Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS) in the 2000s. Currently, she serves on the Boards of the Charity Council, National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC), and the Singapore Centre for Social Enterprise (raiSE).
Li San's academic background includes a degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, USA, and Masters in Electrical Engineering and Masters of Science in Management from Stanford University, USA. In recognition of her contributions, she received the Long Service Medal in 2024 and was conferred the Public Administration Medal (Silver) in 2020 and the Public Administration Medal (Silver) (Covid-19)
