Director – Philanthropic Experience
Ms Belinda Tan took up the role of Director, Philanthropic Experience on 9 March 2024. She previously served as the Director of Fund Allocation from 1 April 2018, before the Fund Allocation team expanded to become Funding, Outcomes, and Standards in July 2020. As the Director of Fund Allocation, Belinda successfully managed up to $390 millions in funding at its peak and implemented three COVID-related funds to support social service agencies and those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Her journey with NCSS began on 30 September 2002, and over the years, she has taken on various portfolios in NCSS, including roles in Community Chest, Service Planning and Development, Corporate Communications, the Social Service Institute (SSI), as well as Funding, Standards and Outcomes. Notably, Belinda was instrumental in transforming SSI into a center of learning and capability building for practitioners. Her vision led to the rebranding of the Social Service Training Institute to SSI as a one-stop social service hub and securing SSI’s appointment as the Continuing Education and Training Centre for the social service sector. Belinda also participated in the pioneer batch of the Sun Ray Scheme and was posted to Montfort Care as the Group Director for Shared Services and General Manager of YAH!.
Belinda holds a Bachelor of Arts from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Health Science (Gerontology) from the University of Sydney.
