Dr. Chu Chi Meng
Group Director – Strategy & Research, Director – Strategy (Covering), Senior Principal Clinical & Forensic Psychologist
Dr Chu Chi Meng joined NCSS on 1 February 2020 and currently serves as the Group Director of the Strategy and Research Group, Chief Data Officer, and Senior Principal Clinical and Forensic Psychologist. In addition to his roles at NCSS, he also serves as the Director (Special Projects) at the Ministry of Social and Family Development and holds the position of Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
During his years in public service, Chi Meng was instrumental in the development and delivery of forensic mental health services, as well as in leading research and policy development for youth-at-risk. His expertise led to his appointment as the National Focal Person for a thematic study on juvenile justice, commissioned by the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission for Human Rights (AICHR).
Chi Meng completed his Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) (Honours) at NUS and Doctor of Clinical Psychology (Forensic Specialisation) at Monash University. He is a Registered Psychologist and Registered Supervisor with the Singapore Register of Psychologists and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, with specialist endorsements in Clinical and Forensic Psychology. Additionally, he is a Chartered Psychologist and Associate Fellow with the British Psychological Society and a Chartered Scientist with the Science Council (UK). For his contributions, Chi Meng was awarded the Commendation Medal.
