Overview
Through the Social Service Institute, NCSS engages with various institutes of higher learning to develop and deliver continuing education and training programmes tailored to the evolving needs of the social service sector. By working closely with IHLs, NCSS helps to create specialised courses, workshops, and certifications that enhance the competencies of individuals and organisations, enabling them to deliver higher-quality services and drive meaningful impact in the community.
Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT)
The institute collaborates with NCSS to develop crucial management- and organisational development-related courses for the social service sector. These programmes are designed to equip social service professionals with essential skills crucial for effective service delivery and organisational management. The partnership with SIT combines academic rigour with practical industry insights, ensuring that social service practitioners remain at the forefront of best practices, and ready to meet the evolving needs of the social service sector.
Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS)
The university is a key partner for the Career Conversion Programme for Social Workers and works closely with NCSS’s Social Service Institute to strengthen the ecosystem for education and training in social service through curriculum design, supporting continuing education and partnership initiatives that provide students with real-world experiences and an understanding of Singapore’s social policy approaches.
This strategic collaboration aims to create a robust and seamless ecosystem that supports the development of skilled practitioners at all career stages.
Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP)
The polytechnic and NCSS work together to ensure meaningful engagement with students in NYP’s Diploma in Social Work students and share more about social service careers and promote the Social Service Scholarship and Social Service Tribe Study Award opportunities.
